1987 Gulf Livery Porsche 951 Track Car

April 29, 2010 by Ben

Feeling aggressive? Take a look a this turnkey 951 Track car on eBay that’s been stripped down and pumped up with over $30K in performance upgrades.

The first thing that stands out is the awesome paint job done by AVO. I’m a huge fan of the Gulf livery on classics such as the 917 and GT40. I have to admit, it looks damn good on this 951 too. If it wasn’t a stripped out racecar I’d have a problem, but this thing means business. Next up is the performance. The car weighs a bit over 2700 lbs and looking at the modification list, I’m guessing it SCREAMS around the track.

• $7,000 Motor refresh done last year by Redline Motorsports
• Upgraded Lindsey racing sport turbo
• Lindsey racing down pipe
• O-ringed head,
• Widefire racing head gasket
• New injector harness
• Race clutch
• Tires are fresh
• Full anodized camber and caster plates and strut bar
• Fully adjustable springs (Eibach on the front, Bilsteins on the back)
• Custom oversize race sway bars front and rear
• “BIG REDS” 4 PISTON 911 TURBO BRAKES
• Custom built and painted 3-piece wheels

The owner claims he’s selling due to a lack of time to track this monster. It’s only seen 2 or 3 HPDE (High Performance Driving Event) days within the last year. Everything else checks out – Autocheck certified, no major accidents and only 78,270 actual miles. If you have 15K lying around and want to be the envy of all your Track Buddies, this is a good horse to bet on.
