1990 Porsche 911 C2 & 1991 Porsche 911 C2 Targa

The Porsche 964 is just starting to hit its stride in the market, keeping pace with other desirable late model air-cooled 911s. They were a bargain for a while, but with a flood of water-cooled 996 models hitting the used market, the older stock has witnessed a readjustment in value. Today we have two 964s for sale, both with 5-speed manual gearboxes in two different flavors: coupe and Targa. First, we’ll take a look at this Guards Red coupe for sale in Arizona.

So what’s your favorite flavor? I have to say, for me, I’d have the coupe all day long over the Targa. Most petrolhead friends of mine would most likely agree with that assessment. That’s not to say I dislike the Targa or it’s a bad car, however. For those sun worshippers, it’s a nice compromise between hardtop rigidity and drop top thrills.

The dealer is in Brooklyn but some of the pictures are from the Grounds for Sculpture in Trenton, NJ. No mention of service records and the dealer’s feedback is not the best in the world.
