1993 Audi S4

While there are more popular options in the large executive sports sedan market, there are few that are quite as well rounded as the C4 Audi S4/S6 twins. The C4 might have been slower out of the box than the M5 and 500E/E500, but as the only turbocharged version quick tuning meant it was easily capable of pushing the same power. The real key to driving these inline-5 wonders, though, is the torque that’s available once the turbo kicks in. A wave of power seemingly able to extricate you from any situation is suddenly available, picking that heavy nose up and launching the car forwards in a symphony of rally-inspired wooshes. Add to that the legendary quattro all-wheel drive and the Audi was a useable, year-round package that has maintained a serious cult following in all areas of the country. Especially sought after these days are clean, original examples that don’t carry the easy to show wear Ecru interior. Despite the all-too-predictable Emerald Green Mica of this example, the insides are Darth Vader’s own palace – black leather with carbon trim:

We are very pleased to offer this stunning 1993 Audi Quarttro URS4. These cars are very rare; having been produced only for three years. (1992 – 1994). Approximatly 500 to 600 per year. Audi produced these high performance sedan’s to compete with BMW M3 series, of the era.

This particular example is a one “lady owned” car from new, in all original condition. The overall condition is excellent and is a testament to her care and attention during her stewardship.

The exterior Emerald Green paint has a high gloss with a lazer straight body with no dents, and is 100% rust free. The interior is equally as stunning with a near perfect appearance. Everything is original right down to the floor mats. Nothing has been replaced or dyed to improve the appearance. The Recaro seats are both power operated and heated, both front and rear.

On the road is where this vehicle comes alive and is a true driver’s car. The 5 cylinder, 20 valve turbo charged engine produces 227 H.P. and propels this 3800 lb sedan from 0-60 mph in only 6.1 seconds. The Quattro AWD system provides endless grip with no fuss or drama. The 5 speed gearbox has no issues with good syncro’s and a positive clutch. The steering is tight and positive with no vibrations or pulling. The 4 wheel disc brakes are ABS equipped and work prefectly. The suspension is tight and rattle free. No moans and grones. This car feels like a two year old car and is truly amazing to drive. You just want to go out and drive with no destination. It’s that much fun. All the instruments work correctly. The A/C is ice cold. All the windows and sunroof work as they are suspose to. The factory Bose Stereo simply sounds amazing also. If it seems like I enjoy this car, well, I Do! This really is a wolf in sheeps clothing.

These cars do not come up for sale very often, especially one’s with no modifications and 1 owner history. This is a very special example and I feel one of the best currently available. If you have been waiting for that right car, I feel this is it.

People’s use of quotation marks always confuses me; for example, either this car was owned by a woman, or it was not. I’m not sure what a “lady” is, except perhaps veiled reference to a street walker though I’m fairly certain that isn’t the case here. Anyway, the car appears in excellent shape. As I’d want, it’s modification free, with the original Fuchs alloys in good shape. It’s not my favorite color but the Emerald Green Mica appears to shine new or close to it, with minimal road rash from the 140,000 odd miles covered. The term “clean slate” comes to mind, allowing the future owner to pick and choose how mild or wild they’d like to make this car. However, I hope it stays close to stock; there aren’t many left in good stock condition anymore, and while modified versions of these cars are generally tasteful I’d guess that in a few years, if kept original and clean, this car will have appreciated even more. Given the general condition, the asking price may be a touch high but replicating it from a less expensive example would certainly be hard on a budget.

What a fantastic car this is.
It is so refreshing to see them completely stock, no white lenses front or rear, no gaudy bling-bling wheels, not lowered, no aftermarket stereo etc….. Green and black is my favorite color combo in these cars. Hopefully it will find a good home.

I’m always amazed to see these cars in Florida – for a while I thought I was the only one left.

The interior is in amazing condition. Wish mine looked as fresh.

Interesting comment about clear corners. I have a set I picked up on the cheap and have been debating installing them. It makes sense, at least, to keep the stock indicators and put them back on when you sell.

Keep in mind the European market cars had white Hella turn signals, the orange indicators were driven by a DOT requirement. So the more “correct” light is an OEM Hella E-code white lens.
