A 5er like this could be the performance bargain in the E39 lineup currently, as a car like this will run you under $10,000 typically. I’ve always been a fan of the deep inset wheels on these 6-speed manual variants, as they fill out the corners quite nicely on this design. For someone in need of a highway cruiser with some space that will get you there fast, but that allows you to enjoy a bit of the twisty bits, there are few better used alternatives out there.
