1997 Porsche 911 Carrera S

I’ve made it clear that I love Speed Yellow on a 911. When that particular 911 is the fantastic 993 C2S, then my love for this particular color grows even more. The 993 Carrera began with nearly perfect contours and in the guise of the Carrera S, with its widened rear fenders, the elegance of those contours comes across even more forcefully. The C2S possesses just the right balance of sporty aggressiveness and refined beauty. It’s no wonder the 993 has been so highly prized by Porsche enthusiasts and that’s before we even get to the engine, the last of the air-cooled 911s to be produced. As a complete package these cars are simply fantastic and are sure to have a firm hold on the hearts, and wallets, of collectors for years to come. The particular example seen here is a 1997 Speed Yellow 911 Carrera S located in California, which appears to share a garage with quite an array of vehicles!

While I’m sure the lighting and photography is playing a role here, this particular 993 looks stunning and the depth of the color is far more striking than in previous versions I’ve featured. Prices for a 993 have never seemed to reach much of a low point and this car is no exception. Given the mileage this is priced at the top of the C2S market so I’d suspect the price here will have to come down. But with the direction Porsche values are heading, you never know.

Front bumper looks misaligned and the hood gap is crooked. Hmm…this car looks like it took some front end damage? Or maybe it’s just the pictures and angle. Great color and equipment though!

There is definitely a bit of fuzziness on one side of the hood/front bumper, but it looks to me like it’s just the picture rather than the car itself. Not sure though. I’m sure it’s something that would be readily apparent when the car is viewed in person.
