2000 BMW M Roadster Salvage Title
April 19, 2010 by Ben
Can this be true? An M Roadster for well under $10K?
I have to be completely honest; when the M Coupe/Roadster came out I was not fan….at all. It took about three years for me to finally come around to the M Coupe (which I’m now currently obsessed with). This past year I’ve also grown fonder of the M Roadster.
These two Bimmers embody the soul and spirit of the original M vehicles, the M1 and E30 M3. Lightweight, balanced and powerful, everything a good sports car needs to be. At 3,000 pounds the S52 and it’s 240 horses can send the M to 60mph in 5 seconds. With the top down it will feel even faster. In this example I’m sure it will sound sweeter too, thanks to the Dinan Exhaust and intake.
Now the things that scare me about this listing:
1. Spelling – “Castomized exhaust Dinan?”
2. Salvage – “due to some minor accident which was long time ago.. I don’t even know what happened to it.”
Back to the good stuff.
I’m trying to figure out what the deal is with this one. All the pics are great, clean body, engine checks out, no crazy modifications. However, the description is kinda sketchy and it’s got a salvage title. If I lived near Sacramento, I’d be getting up early to see if I could do some digging and possibly snag an awesome summer car for a cool $8,000.

i purchased this roadster and drove it from the airport in sacramento to philadelphia pa. i have owned it for almost a year now and have enjoyed it while the weather was good. it is pretty straight and does run nice, it also tracks well with no pulling to left or right. i am moving to germany and would like to sell the car before march 2011. i am asking 8k for the car in the hopes that i will be able to do so. any questions just give me a call rob 215-694-5509

also the car no longer has a salvage title. it has a reconstructed title now having passed a full vehicle inspection.
