2001 BMW 740iL

While the Mercedes-Benz S class may be the standard bearer for German executive sedans, the BMW 7 series has always been the choice for the more sporting individual, even if the owner is spending most of his time in the back seat. In 2001, as the public learned of the radical design departure of the upcoming 2002 7 series, buyers started a rush to buy what would be the last of the conservatively styled 7 series sedans. It’s rare that a car nearing the end of the production cycle would see a spike in sales, but that’s exactly what happened in the case of the E38 7 series. This 740iL has the M sport package and has clocked just over 60,000 miles.

This is a very very clean, well kept vehicle. I have sold many personal vehicles via eBay (Including 3 Porsche’s and a Bentley) with nothing but positive feedback. I choose this method of sale because it is quick and easy for both parties. Please let me know if you have any questions. I can help arrange for shipping if required.

Thanks for looking! Dan

Considering the mileage, I’d say this car is priced just about right. Anything that reaches into the mid teens for an E38 is a big ask these days. Right around $12,000 to $13,000 seems to be about the ceiling for these cars currently. Sure, they aren’t cheap to run, but where can you get a car with this much space and luxury at this price point? Even the cheapest new cars in America start out at this level. Granted, you’ll be missing the warranty on this particular ride, but the bragging rights in the office car park will make up for it.

Always a good sign that the vehicle is “enthusiast owned” when you spot a Ferrari in the garage in the background. Nice 7 for the money.

Last of the classy looking ones in my view.
