Bring-A-Trailer.com Spots a Killer W124 AMG Wagon
Bring a Trailer has been on fire recently with their finds, but this one really rang my bell. A W124 wagon project car done up like an AMG Hammer of the period.
I love everything about this car. A monster 6L motor, all black on black color scheme, classic late 80’s styling with AMG monoblocks, light colored wood interior, etc, etc… It’s a cherry ride. But honestly, unless this car is a documented AMG one-off, I’d be very curious to see who’d justify the $48k buy-it-now. It’s an incredible car, but c’mon… I hope the seller and community rise to the occasion to prove it authenticity because it’s a fantastic car.

Even taking inflation out of the equation, $28k would’ve been a great deal on a brand new M Coupe in 2000. If this car looks and drives even close to brand new, and how could it not unless an unimaginable sin had been committed in storage, this car is a total buy!

1991 BMW e34 M5 in Alpine White
Alpine white on black leather. Does it get any better on an M car than this? I don’t think so either. This 1991 e34 M5 looks very clean for 104k miles, and if the documentation of upkeep holds up, $11k sounds like an absolute bargain for this legendary modern classic.

There are a lot of if’s when it comes to e34 M5’s, and there is homework that must be done for this car. But on the other hand, it wasn’t too long ago that cream puff e34 M5’s were in the $18-25k range. If it took a few thousand to get this car into really sharp condition, you’d still be ahead of the game.

Two Uber Low Mileage 5′ers in Portland
I’ve had lots of inquiries about my newly acquired 1985 e28 535i, but these two 5′ers have similar condition but super low miles to boot. Ride in style in either of these two examples for less than $10k!
1980 BMW 528i For Sale in Portland (46k miles, $9k)

2000 BMW M Coupe: Silver on Black with 72k miles
Not many M Coupe’s under $20k to be found these days. Check out this 2000 BMW M Coupe on Roadfly:

New tires, factory CD & moonroof, tinted windows. Never raced, tracked, modified, or smoked in. Female-owned. Just inspected by BMW dealer, have report. BMW fog lights and subwoofer, heated seats, aftermarket xenon headlights. Car is in excellent mechanical shape, with regular synthetic oil changes. Scheduled 60K service performed last year at a cost over $1K, including all new fluids. Have all service records. Black leather interior. Car is very clean and if you didn’t know the mileage you’d guess it was a lot lower than 72.5K. If you’re reading this ad you know how rare these cars are, and this has to be one of the cleanest out there. If you haven’t driven one, you’re going to be amazed. Hate to sell this car, but need to make room for a new toy.
I like this car for under $20k. If maintenance and inspection check out, could be an easy buy.

The only thing I take issue with are the aftermarket rims, which are probably inferior to the OEM originals. If this is in fact a clean survivor with some records, $19k sounds like a steal to me considering I’ve seen comparable examples in the low to mid 20’s more often than not.
