Beautiful 1983 BMW e21 320i For Sale in Oregon
Richard contacted me about listing his 83 BMW 320i for sale on the blog, and how could I say no? It has the blessing of Paul from Sports Car Shop who recently told me that the car was “immaculate” after doing the recent service mentioned in the Craigslist post for the black e21:

quote from Craigslist posting (Eugene/Portland):
Beautiful BMW 320i – $3200 (Eugene/Portland)
Selling my great little 1983 e21 because I’m traveling out of the country and feel bad about letting my car sit for a year. I just had a service review done at the Sports Car Shop in Eugene and they found very little wrong with the car. The crank case seal needs replacing along with the read diff seal. The motor mounts could stand to be replaced along with the various engine belts. The car has a long service history and really is in great shape. The engine bay is very clean, with no build up anywhere, the GETRAG 5speed gearbox shifts smoothly and the suspension is firm, with not seepage or leaks. I’m a BMW CCA member and the car won the 2007 BMW ACA Octoberfest People’s Choice award and Best Classic award. Email for more images and contact info. This car is located in Oregon, all transactions must be done in person and in cash.
196,700 Miles
5speed Manual
Flawless Paint (Black/Black)
4 brand new OEM wheels (from BMW Mobile Traditions) with good Turanzas
Sunroof
Paul went so far as to say he was almost considering buying this car himself, but was instead inspired to continue the work on his own classic BMW after seeing Richard’s car! Considering he’s only asking $3200, someone should snap this up cheap!

Porsche 996 Prices are Dropping
If I hadn’t just bought a Honda S2000, I would be calling this guy tonight about his 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera for sale on Craigslist Portland ($17.5k, 60k miles):

1999 Porsche 911 Black with Black leather. 6 speed. Only 59k miles. Great color combo. Newer Toyo tires. Lightweight BBS rims, 3k when new. Very Tasteful looking car. Tinted windows. Factory CD. Buying newer Porsche from dealer and not wanting to trade in. Just want a bit more than the dealer buy offer. Very clean! FIRM on the price. Could fetch 3k more in current condition. 60k preventative service done.
It’s no secret the 996 is not one of my favorite Porsche 911′s. That said, I’m a big fan of the Boxster of the same generation; and when the the 996 and Boxster suddenly share the same price point, well let’s be serious, which would you really rather have? My thoughts exactly.

Lovely and Original Alpine White 1991 BMW e30 M3 For Sale with 64k miles
Only a few days left on this sharp looking, Alpineweiss e30 M3 for sale on ebayMotors:

quote from seller’s listing:
This two owner E30 M3 has been in our stable for a year while we have been perfecting it cosmetically and mechanically as a side project. This car is approaching true Concours show winning condition now, as we started with an extremely well taken care of example that had been driven easily by its two female owners, and it shows in how it looks and how it drives. I recently did a touring rally in this car and it was just a joy to drive and enjoy. We updated this car with its major Inspection II service and went over it with a fine toothed comb. We then cosmetically restored it with some PDR and minor touch-up, and a whole list of odds and ends. The result is a very close to 100% factory original and is also a model from the last year of production for the E30 M3, It has all the original VIN stickers and aside from a new front bumper cover and some hood paint in 1991 it is as it left Germany.
Quite honestly, if this car was any nicer I’m not sure you would want to drive it, and that would be a shame.
You know me, I’m a sucker for low miles. Make sure the maintenance has been tended to with a thorough pre-purchase inspection by a qualified BMW technician. This car is already over $17k, reserve not met. With 3 days to go, make your predictions!
(update 4.10.09 – now $19.1k, reserve not met, 2 days to go)
