2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe

I sometimes wonder if I’m too neglectful of newer 911s. I rarely post them (and I think this is a general feature of our site), but the reasons for that are pretty natural: finding newer models in good condition isn’t always that difficult. There are abundant options available and most all will serve a driver’s purposes very well. That said, as we all know there can be great benefits to buying a lightly used car since most show initial depreciation that is quite rapid. If you aren’t picky then you can save a good bit of money. What about if you are picky? While newer models do abound on the second-hand market they aren’t always interesting nor come in an interesting spec, so if you’re looking for just the right combination of features along with a better price the search becomes more arduous. I think the car we see here, a GT Silver 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe with Carrera Red interior and 7-speed manual transmission, checks a lot of these boxes and it is just this sort of modern car that is very worth our time here at GCFSB.

While I discussed my new found fascination with silver yesterday this one really is about the interior. Carrera Red looks great without being too flashy and within the modern environment of the 991 it works incredibly well. I’m a fan of red interiors in general so obviously I love it, but I think this one should have broad appeal. It also happens to be a very nice complement to the GT Silver exterior and the combination brings with it both a sporty and elegant appearance. Attach those colors to the Carrera S with a 7-speed manual and the total package is mighty attractive. Oh, and as far as cost goes, the buyer will be looking at an almost $50K savings over MSRP on a 911 with just over 2,500 miles. I will admit a silver exterior is not going to knock everyone sock’s off, but it’s still very attractive and the rest of the package is quite good.

this dealer is local to me…has some interesting stuff..his pricing tends to be on the higher side but he also tends to get very clean examples as well…

$50,000 discount for an almost unused car. Pretty sweet color combo. Love the dash/console of 2013 and up. And sport design steering wheel is a plus. I despise the look of the standard wheel.

Doug, that car was build by a Pelican Parts 911 forum member. He sold it a couple of years ago for about $20 to $25k if I recall correctly. I think its changed hands a few times from dealer to dealer since then.

If you’re a Pelican member and handy with the search function you can still find the listing and the build thread. When I have some time I’ll look for it.

That dealer is sitting on an Alfa GTV which he’s been trying to sell for a couple of years. His prices are pretty high on a lot of the classic or unusual stuff.
