2002 BMW M5

There are few cars more appealing than a good E39 M5. These cars mix luxury, performance, and styling better than most any other car on the market, and while the newer models have upped the ante in each of those categories, we here at GCFSB remain quite attached to the E39. The styling has just the right amount of aggressiveness without being overly shouty and, at least to my eye, has aged quite gracefully over its first decade of existence. These cars should continue to please drivers both mechanically and aesthetically for years to come, a fact not lost on buyers as prices for an excellent example have steadily begun to creep up in recent years. The car featured here today is an excellent looking Silver 2002 BMW M5 located in St. Louis.

I purchased this immaculate M5 from Enthusiast Auto Group in November 2012. If you’re familiar with EAG, they sell only the best M5’s in the country and make them turnkey prior to delivery. This M car is no exception. During my brief ownership, I have put approximately 2000 miles on the car. I have decided to sell since it’s not being driven often. There has been no damage or paintwork to the car during my ownership nor do I have any reason to believe there has been any such work done to the car at anytime. Everything is in proper working order and up to date. The car needs nothing and is near perfect. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports were new when I purchased the car. Options are PDC and rear sun shades. I will gladly take the car, at the buyers expense, to a good BMW mechanic of your choice for a PPI. 100% stock except for a Dinan Stage 1 tune. The car is being driven so mileage vary slightly. The car is located in St. Louis MO and will only be released via payment by wire or a cleared cashiers check. Title is free and clear. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Serious inquiries only.

I always enjoy looking over a well maintained and unmolested M5 and while Silver isn’t the most exciting color, these cars do show the color off well and it’s always a popular choice for almost any German car. At the moment, bidding on this car is at $15,100 with the reserve still on. That will almost certainly rise quite a bit. I previously featured a low mileage 2000 Imolarot M5, which sold for $30,000. This car has twice the mileage (though at around 52,000 it’s still quite reasonable) and comes in a less interesting color so I wouldn’t expect it to hit that price. But the Buy It Now of $27,800 shouldn’t be too far off the mark, if perhaps slightly high. Still, this car was built to be driven and enjoyed and in its current state I’d expect this example to provide an ample dosage of each.
