1990 BMW 325is

We all know the E30 M3 as one of the most desired and highly touted BMW’s ever produced. We see their soaring prices as a testament to the build and driving experience that they’ve come to be known for. If you don’t need the prestige and power of the M3 then the standard base model 325is will prove to be a more price conscience alternative that will provide you with similar driving dynamics and smiles. Here we have a 1990 325is with a handful of extras.

Year: 1990

Up for sale a 1990 BMW 325is black on black adn 168k miles on it. Beautiful solid car with a lot of extras that make it a nice example of the legendary E30.

Nice solid body, good shiny paint, front (is) lip spoiler, rear M Technic bumper add on, rear trunk spoiler, side skirts (rocker panels), euro plastic bumpers, euro license plate filler, euro ellipsode projector headlights with HID bulbs (xenon), angel lights, LED fog lights and parking lights, blacked out front grill, eyebrows, straight with few dings and scratches for the age of the car all shown in pics. No major dents or scratches, nothing visible unless u get real close to the car.

Good engine , 6 cylinder 2.5 – 2.7 l, sounds smooth and pulls a lot of power, 5-speed transmission that shifts smooth like butter on all gears with no jerking or loose feeling, very good clutch with a lot of life left, fresh motor oil and filter, new spark plugs, new master cylinder, and original lowering springs suspension.

Nice black leather interior with no rips or tears anywhere, sports front seats, rear headrests, M3 rear view mirror, good clean carpets, AC SCHNITZER style floor mats, good headliner with one small rip by the sunroof, clean door panels and centre console, M3 gear shifter boot, M3 emergency brake boot, M3 gear knob, M Technic steering wheel (original steering wheel with airbag included), modified cluster gauge with silver trim, red needles, amd M POWER decal.

Power windows, power steering, power sunroof, trip computer, information computer, cold AC, JVC head unit, 17″ OEM BMW style 5 wheels wrapped with a brand new set of NEXEN tires 204/40/17 all around.

Drives good and very fast, no mechanical issues, no oil leaks, no smoke, no funny noises, good front end, drives straight and with no hesitation, and NO RUST!!

The 325is is quite an appealing recipe with its classically handsome body, well-sorted chassis and peppy engine. Some of the upgrades to this example will be acquired taste. I personally like the larger BBS style wheels, more aggressive M-Technic front lip and rear spoiler as it gives the E30 a brawny look. Recently we’ve seen a number of E30 325is’ breach the $10K price point. It will be interesting to see how close to that mark this 325is will get.

2011 BMW 135i Dinan Stage 3

Over the past few years the BMW 1-Series has done a pretty great job of filling the niche for a German, light(ish)-weight, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe. When you take it up in trim to the 135i you get a proper 300-hp turbo mill and even a manual transmission if you prefer to row your own gears. Once you get over the looks, which I find to be akin to a squished-face 3-series, you have yourself a pretty fast and fun automobile. Here we have a 2011 model featuring the single twin-scroll turbo N55 motor that’s been hotted up by Dinan.

A stock 135i is good for a sub-5 second 0-60 making it a seriously quick little car. With the extra 100 ponies from the Dinan upgrades I am sure this thing could keep up with almost anything in BWM’s current M-lineup. Prices for the less troublesome N55 135i’s hover right below the $30K range with this kind of mileage. It appears the seller believes he can recoup some of the Dinan upgrade costs with the higher Buy-It-Now but unfortunately the mods may actually hurt the value of this example.  While the extra power is nice I think I’d prefer it in stock form and am doubtful it will break $30K in the auction.

Similar to the M Coupe, I believe the looks of the squinty 1-Series make it one of BMW’s best kept secrets. A simple resolution in this case would be to replace the Motegi wheels that you’d find on a Honda Civic at your local Burger King meet up with some BBS LM’s or M3 CSL wheels and you’d give the car a lot more presence.

2007 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

Remember when the 500 horsepower benchmark was only breached by supercars like the Lamborghini Diablo, Ferrari 575M and Aston Martin Vanquish S? It’s hard to believe that only 10 years later these incredible power figures are now available in family sedans offered by 4 different German marques. The battle of auto egos and the quest for alpha horsepower figures has brought us some pretty interesting cars and one of my favorites is the Mercedes-Benz E63. This example comes in retirement home white making it the perfect slate for a true sleeper.

Model: E63 AMG
Engine: 6.3 liter V8
Transmission: 7-speed automatic
Mileage: 56,829 mi

2007 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Keyless! Navi! Arctic White/Gray Interior. This is the wife’s car. Time to make some room for another purchase. No scratches, perfect paint, serviced regularly.
* 6.3L V8 AMG! (507 HP)
* SUNROOF!
* PREMIUM PACKAGE 2!
* NAVIGATION SYSTEM!
* SUEDE HEADLINER!
* HEATED and COOLED FRONT SEATS!
* KEYLESS GO!
* 6 DISC CD CHANGER!
* HARMAN/KARDON PREMIUM SOUND!

While BMW tends to go heavy on the sport flare for its M models with side vents, huge bumper intakes and aggressive hoods, Mercedes-Benz has always done it in a very unassuming way. If you take away the badging the E63 AMG is hard to distinguish from its weaker siblings, the only big giveaways being a slightly more aggressive front dam and the thunderous noise emitting from the signature AMG quad exhaust pipes. With 507 horses to dispatch from the glorious hand built V8 you have more than enough power handle most sports cars on the street. I’ve always dreamt of replacing the AMG badges with E320 BlueTEC nomenclature and then terrorizing unassuming people at stop lights and through tunnels.

This 2007 example looks to have been used as a grocery getter and Saturday night bingo player shuttle in Miami. The asking price is a little high but with less than 60K on the clock it’s still a ton of car for the money. The seller will have to come down $3-4K to find a buyer for this creampuff super sedan. In the next 12-24 months I see depreciation sinking these AMGs to low $20,000. Time to sit back and be patient.

1999 Alpine White BMW M3 Coupe

The 1999 E36 M3 was the pinnacle of BMW performance engineering at the time. The 1999 model year was the last and most revised version of the E36 M3 and remains a favorite among E36 enthusiasts. Tastefully ‘upgraded’ M3s are becoming somewhat of a relic these days. For every stock or lightly massaged M3 for sale there seem to be five that have some awful body kit, spoiler or turbo kit. Here we have a low mileage 1999 M3 Coupe in gorgeous Alpine White that has a few desirable upgrades.

Year: 1999
Model: M3
Engine: 3.2 liter inline-6
Transmission: 5-speed manual
Mileage: 29,500 mi

This is a super clean and rare 1999 BMW M3 with only 29K miles. With the addition of some very tasteful mods it makes this car a perfect M3. The cleanest 1999 BMW M3 in white for sale on the market. Own one of BMW’s rarest treasures, the heart of the “M” program.

Factory & Aftermarket Options:
This unique BMW M3 is loaded with a lot of factory options such as power windows, power seats and more. Aftermarket options are: Rogue Engineering Short Shift Kit, Alpine Head Unit, Halo Headlights w/ HID, Rear Spoiler, Solar Adaptive Window Tint, Active Autowerkes Exhaust, ST Coilover Suspension, Hamann Wheels and more.

From an aesthetic stand point, this M3 is done just right. Alpinweiss is the sharpest color for the E36 M3 and the stance is perfect thanks to those Hamann PG3s. The carbon M-wheel really pops against the white “Vader” seats making the inside of this M3 as appealing as the exterior. Other visual cues like the Active Autowerkes exhaust and the upgraded HID Halos give the M3 a touch of modern but don’t make it look tacky like LED strips on every Corolla or Jetta you see cruising around town. You can tell these upgrades were finely chosen to enhance the vehicle and not just thrown together as “cool mods.” I see bidding breaking the $20K mark but would be willing to guess the reserve for such a fine example of Munich’s mid-size muscle car being closer to $25K.

2000 BMW M Coupe

Screen Shot 2013-05-07 at 7.14.23 PM

The first generation BMW M Coupe is quickly rising as the next future classic from Munich and certainly on my “must own” list. With polarizing looks, plenty of power and handling that’s been compared to the legendary E30 M3 it’s hard not to recognize that this is one BMW that will be in high demand for years to come. Recently we’ve come across a number of rare M Coupes but this is the first time I’ve ever seen one with Kyalami Orange and Black Nappa leather. Here is a 2000 clown shoe located not too far from Santa Cruz, California that must be an absolute blast to drive around those twisty costal roads.

Rare 2000 BMW Coupe in Cosmos Black Metallic over Kyalami Orange & Black Nappa. 1 of 29 produced. This collector’s coupe is in pristine condition inside and out, has only seen 29,371 miles on the road, and has spent almost its entire life covered and garaged.

I inherited the coupe from my father, who was the only owner, prior to his passing. My dad was a retired fighter pilot and car collector, who maintained his machines meticulously; the “Beamer” was no exception. I have kept it covered in a car port, since inheriting the vehicle at the end of last year. To the best of my knowledge, everything is factory-issue. I have replaced one tire with a matching model (so, the set of four is a match).

The interior/exterior color combination is rare and desirable, with only 29 produced. If there are any flaws in the exterior, I can’t find them. The interior is also, immaculate, with only some very minor degradation of the leather on the left side of the driver’s seat. It still smells brand new.

If the car remains unsold at full asking price on eBay by late August, I will be bringing it to the “Dorkfest” at Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, where enthusiasts of the M Coupe will be gathered en masse, and will find a buyer there. I am willing to be patient for the right buyer willing to pay full asking price (a fair price for a rare coupe with low mileage, in such great condition).

The Buy-It-Now is high for this M Coupe. For $34K you can get a low mileage S54 in great condition. I understand this one has the color combo rarity but it is overpriced. I personally don’t see it selling on eBay because I don’t think pictures do it justice and you don’t get a good feel the car’s presence. But as the seller states he’s going to take it to the largest M Coupe gathering in North America and I’m sure he’ll find a buyer there even if it comes in at a lower asking price.
