Car and Driver featured 2000 BMW M Coupe

This is a nice looking clown shoe with 72,000 miles. This two owner car that appears to have been well cared for. This specific car’s claim to fame is a cover photo on C&D magazine, which is kind of cool. The silver and black color combo looks good. The tinted windows add to the good look.

Somewhat surprisingly for an M Coupe or Roadster of this mileage, it looks like this one is remarkably stock. A nice Racing Dynamics cat back exhaust appears to be the only major modification and a good one at that. The owner has also had some suspension bushings replaced which is a good way to tighten up the handling.

The interior, trunk, and under hood, all show minimal signs of use.

Fairly heavy bidding has this up at $15,800 with lots of time left and the reserve not met. That is getting right up there pricewise, but there is still some room to go higher for such a nice looking example of this future collectable. The M Coupe Buyer’s Guide, http://www.mcoupebuyersguide.com/, lists average sale price at $24,000. Just the right amount of horsepower in the trusty six running through the manual transmission makes these a blast to drive.
