Dinan Daily: 1990 BMW 325is

E30 values seem to have matured to the point that consumers aren’t phased by high prices for the right car. I’ve noticed over the last few months a sort of cooling of heads, and less turmoil when a car is posted outside of the $4-$6K comfort range so many E30s tend to fall into. Examples like this 1990 325is from California, which is in immaculate condition and sports some hard-to-find period Dinan modifications (good luck finding the exhaust – lots of “Wanted to Buy” threads that go no where fast), are the outliers that everyone generally agrees is worth the asking price. Perhaps it’s because the market has settled to the point that we know what generally counts as crap, what’s a decent driver, and what’s truly becoming unrepeatable as E30s get snatched up and either restored or modified beyond recognition. This car, for my money anyway, edges towards the unrepeatable category.

Year: 1990
Model: 325is
Engine: 2.5 liter inline-6
Transmission: 5-speed manual
Mileage: 111,082 mi
Price: $12,000

1990 BMW 325is. $8000 worth of DINAN mods done by DINAN. Truly excellent condition. 111,082 miles. 5-speed manual transmission. Beautiful red exterior and tan leather interior. The paint is all original and in excellent shape. The lower spoiler shows a little normal road wear. There are just a few small scratches but they are not very noticable for the most part. This car features rare Borbet T-C 16″ rims (some road-rash), leather upholstery, high performance brake rotors, CD Changer, and a whole lot more. All metal trim work is bright and in great condition. All rubber moldings are in great shape too. All glass is excellent. The windows have a light charcoal tint. A car cover is included. The DINAN mods were all expertly installed by DINAN and include among other things The DINAN Freeflow Exhaust System, Performance Engine Chip, Strut Tower Brace, sway bars, and Stage III Suspension Upgrades which include Bilstein struts & shocks, high performance racing springs and new camber plates. The suspension upgrades make this car handle like a true sports car. Nothing on the suspension touches or rubs any other part of the car at any time. The interior is in superb condition, the carpets are immaculate and free of any stains and the leather looks fantastic. The car has heated seats and a factory CD changer. I have all original sales receipts & manuals including all work done by DINAN. All recommended maintenance has been done as verified by included service receipts. Maintenance was handled mostly by DINAN and A&E Performance. The A/C is not currently working. The radio sounds fine but there is an occasional loud static discharge.

The Borbet Type C was one of my favorite wheels of all time, and along with the period-correct Heckblende gracing the trunk, I love the way this car currently sits. Add in the Dinan mods (which is not necessarily my favorite tuner, but it is the most appropriate name to grace the back of a BMW) and the standard features – such as the heated seats – and you have a great investment that will be a pleasure to drive daily.

That car is stunning for its age. That’s a great price considering the condition and the Dinan upgrades. Would buy if I had the cash laying around. I don’t think a lightly modified E30 could be any better. Simply gorgeous.

Now THIS is a proper 325Is NOT the white one posted here before…
Lets see…it is NOT a TMU car…..it HAS its OEM interior…..the mileage is very reasonable….not even going to address the Dinan bits….and the ask is 12K???…..if a PPI bears this car out which from the pictures and the info posted about it would seem to support…
I’d sooner give this fellow full ask before someone else snatched this up
    nice find!
