That 928 with all the crap on it is a POS and the green low miles 928 is an interesting car but no one is going to pay the price its offered at. The green one has been on all the Porsche sites for a while.

Yeah that was exactly I was trying to get at. While the car looks phenomenally clean, and that trip computer alone is worth *something* extra - I just don't see how it is $10-15K over any other super clean US 500E.

I walked away from a 500E 3 years ago at 18K that was in phenomenal condition, so I've got a hard time stomaching a 2X markup on a car that is maybe 15% cleaner.

That RUF car has been for sale forever and listed over and over in all kinds of places. Says two things to me 1) they are asking way too much or 2) the car is not all there... or some combo of the two.

Great point out Frank on the 500E. That is exactly what this blog should help identify. Those stories make that 500E ask price extra crazy. Still a great looking car and the functioning computer that it has is a nice option. Not spending the extra to get real AMG rims is a dead giveaway that something is amiss. A good driver I'm sure, but with the issues someone could get hurt in the wallet thinking it is an investment grade vehicle over a true 94 Euro.

Interesting background on the car. A little disappointed it may not be as represented, but it's still a very good looking car. Maybe there is room to negotiate as a result.

Thanks for the heads up Frank!

In regard to that Euro 500E posted for sale, anyone seriously interested might want to take a look at the thread on the very same car over at the 500E message boards: http://www.500ecstasy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6153
