Last minute 1988 Mercedes 300CE AMG monochromatic

This is just about to end, but it caught my eye for a quick post, I enjoy the monochromatic color schemes on my Benzs.
This 300CE looks particularly nice with a brown paint scheme that carries through to the refurbished, color matched AMG rims and brown interior. The 300CE comes with the nice 3 liter inline six which will provide enough go with reasonable gas mileage, not stellar on either account, but enough. What sets this ride apart from other 300CE cars is this one has a ton of documentation with it and the service records show a number of new parts. This one also has had the headlights replaced with euro spec units to make for the more aerodynamic and better looking front. It is clear that this car has been taken care and the 112k miles is low for a 1988.
With a cost new of $53,000 the typical depreciation has this car sitting at $6,800 with the reserve not yet met. This one looks like a really nice example. Prices are all over the map for the W124, this one won’t be sold on the low end price-wise.

    With the exception of the cheesy, out-of-character (for this car) Kenwood head unit, this car looks pretty nicely done.

    Not my personal favorite Benz model, but I like it. Probably worth a bit more than the $6800 bid on the auction.
