Show Winning 1980 VW Truck for Sale

With all the hubbub surrounding the development of a new Volkswagen compact truck I present to you this wonderfully stock 1980 VW Sport Truck. Long coveted by the VW tuning community, the majority of the VW trucks that remain have been altered with sport seats, lowered suspension, late model wheels, and any other number of enhancements.
1980 VW Sport Truck for Sale:
From the seller -
“This is a fully restored and very rare ‘SPORT TRUCK’ edition. It was bought in Kingman, AZ where it has been since new. Never rusted, never welded, never hit, very, very nice to start. This truck has had everything rebuilt, repainted, replaced and slightly modified with 1985 GTI engine and 5 spd trans that have also been completely rebuilt. This Sport Truck will cruise with late model VR6 and 1.8T’s. Awesome in and out with rare camper top and many cool and hard to find parts. Multiple show winner with too many trophies to list. No disappointments with this rust free, turn key show worthy driver.”
I have not seen a Sport Edition truck since the 80′s, that and the stock nature of this car makes it pretty darn rare. Props to the owner for restoring this truck to stock versus the easier route of altering the truck beyond recognition. The tweak of adding the GTI motor is a welcome change as the stock truck setup is sluggish at best.
If you are looking for a VW truck and want something that looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor this may be the truck for you. If you would rather wait for the new VW compact mentioned above truck to hit our shores you are going to need to find another 99,999 friends to join you.
