BMW 1990 325i Convertible Turbo Found in Pacific Northwest
While looking for fine German autos in my own backyard I stumbled across this really nice 1990 Turbo E30 Convertible.
BMW 1990 325ic Convertible Turbo for Sale:
From the seller -
“BMW E30 1990 325ic Convertible Turbo. I bought this cabrio a couple years ago as a project. Now its done and I’m ready for the next one. Tasteful upgrades include Lowering sport springs, 325is rear deck lid with spoiler (eliminating ugly third brake lamp), Bilstein front and rear sport shocks and struts. Custom sport exhaust, Alpina wheels, new leather shift and parking boots, M3 control arm bushings and much more. This car has never been tracked. Soft top and cylinder head i.e. timing belt/ water pump done recently.”
I do not know enough about what turbo kits were available for the e3o so I will reserve my judgement on the reliability of this set-up ,but it does look a little too DIY for my taste. Other than that this is a very clean cab with tasteful upgrades, and a solid maintenance history. If I were looking for a convertible to enjoy this summer I would much rather have something like this than, say, a Mazda Miata with 100k on the ticker. The owner has recently reduced the price to $6.9k, which seems like a square deal to me. If all else fails you could return the car to stock form if you could live without the extra ponies.
