Norman,

Sounds like a great color combo on your car! I'd think your best bet would be to go to the wrecking yard and get a seat bottom to deconstruct. As for new parts to restore, I'd hit up mye28.com and ask the experts there. Though your car isn't an e28, their community is very active and I'm sure someone will be able to help. Good luck!

I own a 1980 BMW 528i alpine white with red leather buckets in front. Do you have any ideas or seppliers on the foam bun under the leather and or the clips and the shape of the foam? The leather is pretty good. Thank you Norman Thomas

I own a 1980 bmw 528i alpine white with red leather seats. The drivers side bottom bucket seat needs to be rebuilt. The leather is pretty good but the undercarriage ie the springs and the foam under the leather is gone. Also the horsehair which probably was used at time of manufacute is gone. do you have any ideas or suppliers that could help me with the foam bun; the shape of the curves and the springs and clips? I would like to correct the problem myself or with some help. Thank you Norman Thomas

These listings are pretty outdated and I'm not seeing either on Craigslist right now.

You might want to subscribe by .rss or email (above right) to catch future low mileage finds.

Thanks for your comment,
