The 1981 Mercedes-Benz 280SL equipped with a 5-speed manual that we featured last year has turned up once again. While 560SL prices start to soar, the time is ripe to explore other R107s for a potential value. If you want something unique, at least to the US market, this one is for you.

2000 BMW M Coupe

$_4 (1)

If you’re a fan of the E36/8 BMW M Coupe, you’re in luck this week. Here’s a Dakar Yellow example to compliment the Estoril Blue example we featured at the beginning of the week. This example comes to us from our reader Colby who is seeking a more practical daily driver. Many would balk at the idea of giving up an M Coupe, but with these cars squarely in the crosshairs of collectors and investors alike, using one on a daily basis is a consideration one doesn’t take too lightly these days. With under 60,000 miles on the clock, this is one that would certainly benefit from some preservation, but could be enjoyed regularly, as well.

1995 BMW 540i Sport

One car that seems to resonate with readers here at GCFSB is the E34 BMW 5 series. This car was a bit of a bridge between the older and newer era of BMW. With the help of famed automotive designer, J Mays, few cars really got their proportions so right. The E39 5 series to follow was indeed an evolution of this design which lasted right into the new millennium. One of our favorite E34s is this car here, the 540i Sport, offered during the final production year, 1995. With the disappearance of the M5 from the lineup in 1993, there was a void to fill. US customers got most of the M5 goodies mixed in with BMW’s new 4.0 liter V8. This example for sale in Illinois has the favored 6-speed manual gearbox and is a rather tempting piece indeed for the price.

2004 BMW 330i ZHP Dinan

Age, as they say, is but a number. And so it goes sometimes with cars that we come across here at GCFSB. We’ve seen some vehicles with well over six digit mileage that stagger the mind with their immaculate condition. Such is the case with this 2004 BMW 330i ZHP for sale in Massachusetts. This car has passed the 150k mile mark but looks as crisp as when it left the showroom. Chalk it up to one fastidious owner who follows the folks over at ZHP Mafia, a site dedicated to the performance package offered on E46 sedans, coupes and convertibles for a few years.

2000 BMW M Coupe

Few cars – and I don’t say this lightly – have been as iconic in the past 20 years as the BMW E36/8 M Coupe. Designed to add a bit more rigidity to the Z3 chassis and hone the package for enthusiasts, these were relatively rare BMWs. Just under 500 examples were produced for North America in the popular shade of Estoril Blue, which is what we see here on this example for sale in Miami. With just over 50,000 miles, this is a chance to snap up a clean one. Each time I see one of these Clown Shoes, the term “Ring Tool” comes to mind.
