Clean, low-mileage E28s are always a treat, and there have been some nicely preserved examples of the 535i here on GCFSB before. This one has the standard fog-lighted 535i bumper with an “is” rear spoiler, looking pretty sharp on Style 5s but more cruiser than the M5/is package. You can’t get much more 80s than baby blue over blue leather – I love it. 82k miles with no real defects means this is could be a special daily driver or fun entry into the E28 world for an enthusiast.

Selling my 1986 BMW 535i e28 sedan with a clean title and has approx. 81,8xx original miles. This is a short chance of a life time to own this timeless Bavarian classic machinery as there are not many left out there anymore in such condition. This car is known to be a classic as the first M5 was based off this design.
The car runs great and is in good shape for an almost 30 year old car with the AC blowing ice cold. It has been adult owned and has been garaged since I’ve owned it. There are some minor cosmetic issues, but are easily repaired, they just didn’t bother me enough to fix them. No cracks on the dash or leather! Has automatic locks with alarm, power seats, power windows and sunroof w/ visor, original tool kit (hard to find) and an on board computer, which is way ahead of it’s time in 1986.
Some aftermarket parts include a Nardi steering wheel, Alpine head unit with BlueTooth, BMW spoiler replica, tint on all windows, and Style 5 wheels with tires with lots of life left (see picture with Lincoln’s head). I do have the stock steering wheel and head unit, which will be included with the sale. The mileage will slowly go up because I do drive it occasionally. I also have copies of service records and CarFax will also prove mileage if questioned.
Please only call/text me if you’re interested and don’t bother to low ball me, the answer will respectfully be No. Asking for $11,500 obo.

Thanks to reader Brian for the spot on this clean E28. It’s a pretty aggressive price for an automatic, but it’s as thoroughly clean (if not original) as they come. For somewhere between $10k and the asking price, I think this 535i will make someone very happy.

I love e28’s … too bad its an automatic
You had me sold until I saw the slushbox.
Ask is down to $10K, but that still seems like too much.
FWIW I think 7 grand is all the money for this car.
