Ah, what a fun car to find right around the holidays. This 535is, resplendent in Santa’s Sleigh red. It’s about as clean as his sleigh would be leading up to the holidays too, with a decently redone interior and excellent respray sometime back. The E28 535is is an outstanding car, bringing a significant portion of the legendary M5’s allure at significantly reduced prices and a much wider selection of colors. It’s been a while since we’ve seen one this clean, with just 119k miles, but the huge caveat is the single-axis shifter, meaning it will be much more comfortable cruising rather than sprinting in the hills. But Santa needs something stylish, fast, and comfortable, and this E28 hits all the bases.

Comes with hood bra & new carpet dash cover.Matching Vin stickers on all panels. Car was repainted at some point, but color is orig and a nice job. NOT a back yard repaint. Car really has ZERO rust or rust repair, no signs of a wreck or previous damage.
Seats were recovered and look great, dash has cracks and appears to have been “fixed” at some point, but they came back. Headliner was recovered and could’ve been a better job in my opinion. Speedometer works fine, but odometer works intermittently- assuming gears are bad. Sunroof motor is bad, tries to open and stops. Starter bendix made noise twice out of the 20+ times I started it. It DOES appear to have a rebuilt or replacement transmission, it just looks TOO clean to be the orig. unit. Shifts flawlessly.
Car runs and drives great, could use an alignment.
Will come with clean PA title. We’re an independent dealer, but exclusively BMW. CRbimmers
With no reserve, this is the kind of litmus test that’s great to see. What does a lower-mileage, clean but not all original autobox 535is command? This red E28 has me in the holiday spirit, and it’d be a heck of a present for anything under $6k.

First off, love the usage of “resplendent.”
Secondly, of course, it’s automatic. Almost makes happier knowing that so I’m less tempted to bid.
Then again, at under $6k….maybe that’s not such a deal killer….
I love the use of “single-axis”
