I had originally posted this low miles e30 M3 on my other blog in August earlier this year. It’s back on eBay and has already exceeded the highest bid of $20,100 (no sale) from the last auction. Take a look at this 1988 BMW M3 for sale on eBayMotors:
quote from eBayMotors listing:
THIS IS REAL 38,000 MILES 1988 M3 ,GARAGE KEPT, RECENTLY SPENT ABOUT 10K ON ALL BMW BRAKES,TUNE UP,A/C, ECT. RUNS AND DRIVE LIKE NEW, NEVER WRECKED,CAR IS IN GREAT CONDITION
In my previous post, I guessed that the winning bid would be around $25k. Considering brand new M cars are apparently immune to the sales slump, do you think this legendary M car will find a buyer this time?

E30 M3 prices have held up pretty good so far, but I don’t see them surviving the next two years very well. Really, its a pretty frivolous purchase and frivolity is going to take a kicking (Ferrari sales down 85% in November).
I wouldn’t be surprised to see cars like this one going for $12,000 in the next 24 months, and high-milers for way under $10K.
$12k, really? I hope you’re right — and I hope my job holds together long enough to make an opportunity of it!

Yeah, that’s the trick: having cash when nobody else does! Start saving now…
Well it ended at $23,950 but didn’t reach the reserve. If this guy is desperate to sell, it could soon be a real bargain.
