1994 Audi RS2

In my spare time, I collect 1:18 scale model cars. Living in an urban area with limited parking, it’s a way of enjoying some of my favorite vehicles on a smaller scale. One recent acquisition to my collection was an Audi RS2 made by a specialty manufacturer out of France. I’ve always admired this collaboration between Audi and Porsche, especially when they are painted in the iconic Nogaro blue. In another six years, these cars will begin to be legal for importation into the US. Unfortunately, by that time the prices on these cars will surely have skyrocketed. That’s not at all surprising, given a short two year production run with under 3,000 produced.

This RS2 for sale in Barcelona was treated to a recent restoration to the tune of over €20,000.

1994 Audi RS2 for sale on Mobile.de

Audi RS2 totally restored in December 2011. New engine with 9500 km (current 210,000). Newly painted. Aesthetically perfect. I have the invoices of repair for value (+20000 Euros). Brakes 8 calipers and rims 18″ Porsche 993 turbo with Bridgestone 235/35/18. Exhaust MTM. Metallic catalyst 200. Xenon kit. Bluetooth.

While it doesn’t wear its original Porsche Cup wheels, the 993 Turbo style wheels don’t look out of place on this fast estate. At over $30,000 USD equivalent, this car isn’t for everyone. For some, it is a drop in the bucket considering the combination of performance and practicality. Look up Q ship in the dictionary, and this five-door, 311 horsepower beast with Porsche DNA would fit the profile.

Perfection. This is legendary car and future classic for sure. The cell phone pictures are miserable.

I’m a dyed-in-the-wool Bimmer fan, and I’d be lying if I said this car didn’t make me drool.

Technically, on this car it was referred to as “RS Blue”, as it was on the S6 plus as well. Nogaro is a B5 chassis color. Sorry to nitpick!
