For there only being 225 in the country, 850CSis come across the eBay auction block fairly regularly. I’d much rather have a low-mileage one of these over any modern BMW coupe, and they’re trading hands for less than the gargantuan modern 6-series. You can go white with about 30k miles or black with about 70k miles. Whether price, color, or mileage guides your choice, you can rest assured knowing you will look – and be – way cooler in this than any E63 or F12 BMW big-coupe.

It’s common knowledge that you can get more for your money with a used car than you can new. If you are brave enough to dabble in the art of pre-owned luxury vehicles you can, in fact, get a lot more. So let’s transition from the E320 featured earlier today to this S320 from the same model year, 1994. While it’s not the top of the line S class of its day, this car still cost a pretty penny when new and can now be had for a fraction of its original value. This particular car for sale in California has only 55,000 original miles, leaving a lot of life left for the new owner.

1 CommentPerhaps we should have designated this Mercedes-Benz E class week? First a clean, low mileage W210 E320 on Monday and then a rare 300TE 4Matic featured yesterday. Now we have this low mileage 1994 E320 sedan for sale in Philadelphia. This one looks exceptionally sharp in Midnight Blue and has only covered 66,000 miles.

6 CommentsFew would have seen it coming when the W124 Mercedes-Benz E class was introduced, but towards the end of the model run, the mid-sized luxury sedan got a shot in the arm by way of V8 power. While a new E class was being readied for 1996, Mercedes needed to do something to compete with the V8 heavyweights from Japan, the Lexus LS400 and Infiniti Q45. While the Lexus LS eventually went the way of the S class, the Q45 eventually died altogether, but the impression these cars from the Far East made on US consumers has been lasting. Still, there are those of us who appreciate classic German engineering even if it comes with some compromise. I would wager to say that this E420 for sale in California has aged a bit more gracefully than its Japanese competitors.

1 CommentIn order to satisfy the desires of Porsche enthusiasts seeking something a bit more hardcore than a standard 964 Carrera 2, in 1993 Porsche released the RS America, a limited run lightened model that came without such features as power steering, A/C, and even a radio, but included a whale tail and sport suspension. A radio, sunroof, limited-slip differential, and A/C could be optioned onto the car, but it still came in at a lower weight than a standard Carrera 2. While the RS America remains a far cry from the much more potent and lighter 964 RS available in Europe, it still provided modest gains in an effort to improve driving dynamics for those buyers seeking such things. These cars remain relatively rare but do pop-up from time to time for sale and here we have a 1994 Midnight Blue Porsche 911 RS America located in California. This one is fully optioned and has seen 112,500 miles.
