Now and then we come across cars that seem destined to set the market for the value of a particular car and we may be looking at just that scenario with the car featured here. This one-owner Midnight Blue 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo, located in Florida, with Grey/Midnight Blue leather interior has a mere 3,800 miles on the clock. The 993 in general has been a beloved car since introduction and that rings even more true for the 993 Turbo. Twin-turbocharged, 6-speed manual, perfect lines, the first 911 Turbo to utilize Porsche’s all-wheel-drive system and the last of the air-cooled Turbos, these had it all. To top it off, the value of these cars has been on an ever-increasing ascension that hardly seems like it will slow down anytime soon.

1997 Porsche 911 Turbo

These final-year air-cooled turbos are where it’s at in performance, looks, and modern-day classic status. I love the understated nature of my neighbor’s all-black 993 Turbo, but his chrome turbo twists aren’t quite as attractive as these flat ones. The color and wheels will probably not be the deciding factor in the price here – with just over 31k miles, this is an epic example of a car that grows in desirability (and price) every year.

1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S

In purely aesthetic terms, the 993 C2S is a fantastically pretty car. Where it might lack a little bit of aggressiveness relative to some of its classic brethren, it more than makes up for that with graceful lines and delicate curves. As the ultimate expression (at least stylistically) of the air-cooled 911 the 993 C2S will forever remain a Porsche favorite. With nearly 300 hp being delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed transmission, the Carrera S offers ample performance and provides its drivers with miles of engaged and exhilarating motoring. The car we have featured here is a Wimbledon Green Metallic 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S with Cashmere leather interior, located in New York.

1997 Porsche 911 Carrera

The 993 is for many a favorite. Stylistically, it shows the culmination of 30 years of subtle changes and tweaks, because while it no longer wore the classic 911 body it undeniably clung to those roots. The proportions were just right, the weight remained reasonably low and the engine provided the unmistakable clatter that could only be produced by an air-cooled engine. As the last of the air-cooled 911s, the 993 is an icon of an icon. The car featured here is a Black on Black 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe, located in Oregon, with 6-speed manual transmission and a light 30,300 miles.

1995 Porsche 911 Race Car

Race-prepped cars exist within their own market and are notoriously difficult to correctly evaluate and price. Much of this difficulty arises from the simple fact that many racers have specific preferences or builds in mind and it might be rare to come across a car that checks enough boxes to make the purchase worthwhile, at least at a cost that also makes sense to the seller. From a simple market perspective, in the case of vintage racers, there are usually a few transactions or other benchmarks upon which reasonable decision making can be based, but for a newer model such as this 1995 Porsche 911 there may be few relevant comparables. The 993 racer featured here falls in the middle ground of the race-prepped spectrum. While it has upgraded suspension and a fully race-prepped interior, it has retained its stock motor, though shorter gear ratios have been implemented to improve acceleration.
