Whenever I spot a Mercedes-Benz C36 AMG with low miles, they inevitably get snapped up in short order. Just witness the one we featured last week if you need evidence. If you don’t need the power and persona of an AMG variety Benz, then a C280 like this one for sale in New York could be just the ticket. This car is barely broken in with just over 20,000 miles on the clock and represents the last year of the inline-6 in the W202.

This is one of the lowest mileage 1997 C280 sedans around. The car has had one owner (non-smoker, no pets), was always garaged, and has not been driven during winter. The car appears to be in ‘new’ condition (see photos) with no wear on the interior. These cars can easily run for 200,000 miles!
This is probably one of the more plain looking vehicles we’ve featured lately, but the goodness of this car lies beneath the surface. With a sturdy, well built chassis, rear-drive and a smooth twin cam six, this car has character hard to match in a car such as the new CLA sedan. Considering the 1997 C36 AMG we just featured sold for $10,300, I’d find it a bit hard to stomach paying more than $10,000 for this. This car has less miles than that C36 AMG, but I’d suspect somewhere around the $8,000 mark is just about right for a well preserved baby Benz like we see here.
