Dubbed the Heritage Edition, it was effectively a Competition model in one of three exterior colors mimicking the Motorsport logo. You could choose from the shades of Laguna Seca Blue, Imola Red II, or today’s choice – Velvet Blue – and you got a special M-striped carbon-fiber roof panel, special interior trim, and the choice of a six-speed manual or the seven-speed DCT transmission. Production was limited to 750 units worldwide, only a fraction of which came with manual transmissions, so collectability is almost assured for the future:

The seller claims this one is one of only 50 made in Velvet Blue Metallic, though that seems hard to believe. Granted, looking through the US registry forum the bulk of the cars are unsurprisingly blue or red, though I haven’t seen any official final production numbers by color. This one looks great, and I am sure it’s the color I’d choose of the three. Pricing? Well, aggressive – you can get into a new M4 for this amount. But if you want a limited-production manual F82 M4, it’s probably not all that outrageous to consider – and certainly a lot cheaper than the next special M coupe I’ll look at…

That is aggressive pricing ! Well if the color is what is attractive you can just order a new M4 6-spd in BMW individual in that color for very few bucks more…..
You’re definitely not getting a G82 M4 for “a few bucks more” in addition there is over a year wait for a customer-built order at the moment. Even if you shopped “used” G82 M4 they’re not going to be “a few bucks more”.
@Mark: maybe you are right I don’t know the 2024 pricing..but I have a 2023 individual M3 base with very few options that was $81K (before taxes of course)…so that’s my reference point.
But your point about the wait is valid – I waited 15 months for an allocation.
