The E30 BMW M3 needs no introduction. The car that started the M3 legend and is now a darling of the collector circuit, we may be seeing the last affordable examples pass us by. Could buying one of these be a better investment vehicle (pardon the pun) than the stock market? Who can tell. If I was buying one right now it would purely be to enjoy the thrills from behind the wheel. This M3 for sale in Illinois is another lower mileage example that is sure to get the bidders fired up this week.

Thats right. Another Fantastic NO RESERVE auction brought to you by AUTOWERKS of Northbrook. You are bidding on probably one of the cleanest E30 M3’s you will ever see.
A few tasteful simple mods only add to the value of this car. Supersprint Catback exhaust, H&R springs, new tires with less than 1 mile on them, custom painted engine bay with a strut tower bar. This car will please the most discerning buyer. The paint is a 9.5 on a scale of 1-10 and the interior is an 8 on a scale of 1-10. Mechanically the car is perfect with a fresh $2500 clutch job and a $1300 AC Upgrade.
I recently acquired this car from its original owner in Illinois. For a brief time it transferred ownership to Michael Bryant in California as a collaboration to creat a BMW Art car offerred for $100,000.00. The economy took its toll and the project was scrapped bringing the car back to its original elderly owner. Please make sure you have all your money and or financing in place prior to bidding.
Nate featured a 1988 M3 back in May that had 77,000 miles on the clock and sold for $41,323. That car had the Cardinal Red leather interior which might be more desirable for some given the Alpinweiss exterior on both that car and this one. But with less miles, this car may just bring similar coin. Whatever the case may be, these no reserve auctions are helping to set the bar for this rapidly appreciating classic.
