The E34 M5 was the quintessential gentleman’s express. In an age where sports sedans shout about their muscle via large diameter wheels and bits of carbon fiber strewn about, this generation M5 was subdued in comparison. It didn’t need to be ostentatious, though, with a potent 3.6 liter, 315 horsepower inline six under the hood. This gave the M5 capabilities which few competitors of the day could match. This M5 for sale in Colorado is rather eye catching in red and apart from the faulty A/C compressor, is fairly sorted.

One of the last hand built E34 M5s ever made. Only 106K extremely low original miles, 5 spd manual with 315HP inline 6. Fully loaded with black leather interior in perfect condition, power windows, power locks, sunroof. All electrical is in perfect working order, mechanically sound, body and paint is in very good condition with exception of minor 22 year old wear. Sitting on 18″ OEM staggered M-Parallel wheels with 20/22 offset. Well maintained, service records available. Looks, runs and drives great, strong engine and tranny, clutch grabs right up. Clean CO title in hands. This is a very rare find.
The only issue is A/C compressor makes squeaking noise periodically, A/C blows ICE COLD though. Would need to be rebuilt or replaced in near future. This is exactly the same compressor as any E32 735i or 735iL. Please request all necessary info about this M5 before making offers. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY!!!
This M5 is priced attractively, as we’ve seen a few E34 M5s over the past year with asking prices of $15,000 and above. Some did not sell so quickly, reinforcing the old adage that a car is only worth what someone in the room is willing to pay. Given the condition and mileage, this car is about spot on with the average value quoted by Hagerty. If you could knock a little bit off the asking price to compensate for the A/C compressor issue, this M5 would represent a good deal.

That’s a damn nice price for 106k miles!
I see these for sub 10k all the time. The question I always wonder is should you get the M5 or the V8?
Agree with Nate – seems like a good price for the mileage and condition.
It seems like a nice example of a great car at a very fair price. I think that E34 M5 is the most attractive version of perhaps the most pleasant looking sedan BMW ever made.
this is a very attractive price for an E34 M5 w/106k on the odo…
with that said..buyer beware….these cars need to be maintained and maintained well or they will bleed you…ask to see service records…PPI is a big must
the ad is a little lacking when it comes to the maintenance; is the SLS still intact? or was it replaced??…the M-Parallels are a very nice touch as we never saw them here in 91..
if this car checks out though it is more than reasonable.
