1992 Porsche 968 Cabriolet

The Cayenne and Panamera are great performance cars in their own right, but for the Porsche purist, it is little more than a vehicle by which they can keep their favorite sports car manufacturer in the business of just that: manufacturing sports cars. It seems the diversity in the lineup, the earlier water-cooled, front engined Porsches are now getting the respect they deserve. This 968 Cabriolet for sale in Florida is equipped with the 6-speed manual gearbox and is closing in on the 100,000 mile mark. Still a lot of life left for someone who wants to live out their P car dream on a budget.

Car was serviced at the Porsche dealer in Austin, TX always.

I’ve had the front engine reseal done within the last 9k miles which includes;

New water pump, new balance shaft belt, timing belt, seals on front engine.

I will be happy to take it to any mechanic in the Tampa Bay area should you want it inspected so you have ZERO WORRIES BUYING THE CAR! Also, should you buy it on eBay, get here and are not happy you get a full refund of deposit and do not buy the car- I just ask you do it within 3 days! That’s what I would want.

Runs EXCELLENT and FAST! Clean Autocheck – had a small fender bender in Austin, TX. The Porsche place there repaired with zero frame issues as it was cosmetic. All maintenance done and records, almost new Michelin Pilot® Sport A/S 3

Driver, left main folding top bow on convertible top driver side needs replacing and one piece of rubber by window on driver side the smaller piece on the front of the folding top bow, everything else excellent- part is $200-$500.00 on eBay and $300.00 to put on.- it is only bolts to put on. The top works and motors work just needs that one part. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/161073909076?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649) You can put the top down manually. Top is newer and done by Porsche dealership in Austin, TX about 6 years ago. Always garaged or under a car cover. Non-smoking, clean title in hand and MUST SELL as no place for it. Email with questions or for additional photos. I’ll be glad to photo anything you would like and send to you. Thanks for looking!

While usually reserved for the typical British sports car, I’m not sure if the dark green on this Porsche works as well. Thankfully, in some lighting, it looks almost black, so I’ll give it a pass. This one has some small issues to iron out, but nothing terrible. I’d suspect the asking price here isn’t too out of line, given that we are dealing with a manual gearbox 968.
