1995 BMW 840Ci

When it was introduced at the end of the eighties, the 8 series coupe brought the four place BMW two-door concept into the new decade with sharper styling and a big upgrade in power, with double the cylinder count of the 635CSi coupe that it replaced. It was a handsome pillarless coupe that, unfortunately, got lost in the shuffle amidst a global recession. Nevertheless, the 8 soldiered on until 1997 in the US market and was phased out two years later elsewhere. Today, the 8 series represents a good bargain in the realm of touring coupes if you can stand the inevitable maintenance costs along the way. This 840Ci for sale in Florida has a 4.4 liter V8 under the hood, good for 282 bhp, which is only 13 bhp shy of the twelve cylinder unit found in the 850i when it was first introduced.

1995 BMW 840Ci on eBay

For sale is a gorgeous BMW 840ci with only 53,705 original miles! This car is beautiful inside and out. The 840ci is accident free and has a clean Carfax. It comes in one of the most elegant, color combinations Alpine White exterior with Tan interior. It is truly a beautiful and super unique car.

The White paint looks amazing and is deep rich and lusterous. The bumpers are in excellent shape with no curb damage or scuffs. This BMW is very straight and has no dings, dents or scratches. There are a few very minor chips in the paint but have been professionally touched up with the factory color. You really have to look hard to find any imperfections if any.

The interior looks great and has no major scratches or wear from getting in and out. There is a small spot of discoloration on the drivers seat bottom but is not that noticeable. The rims look great with no major curb damage, and the tires have 80% of life left on them. This BMW looks stunning and turns heads wherever you go.

The 840ci drives and shifts very smooth like you would expect from a flagship BMW. This garage queen is clean and has been meticulously maintained. These collector cars are getting very hard to find with low miles and in such pristine shape. They will only go up in value. We serviced the car throughout and it needs nothing but a new owner! We took a lot of pictures so you can judge for yourself. The car is currently driven for test drives, so the mileage at the date of sale might be slightly higher.

Prices for 8 series have stayed fairly steady in the last few years, the exception being the ultra rare 850CSi taking off and bringing princely sums for mint, low mileage examples. There isn’t a big difference between eight and twelve cylinder E31s when it comes to resale, which has to do a lot with the V12’s running costs, making the 840Ci more desirable for those seeking a little less hassles when it comes to servicing. Approaching $18,000, this is close to the high end for an 840Ci, as you rarely see these coupes breach $20,000. Some cleaner, lower mileage V12s can be seen in the low to mid $20,000 range these days.
