In addition, a 3.2 liter, six-cylinder engine would supplant the 2.3 liter inline-4 with Formula 1 DNA that was offered in the iconic M3. While E30 M3 prices have settled down a bit, they are still very strong and M3s like this E36 example are of course the next best thing for collectors looking to get into the early M car game. Over the last year, prices have been creeping forward for these cars, as have their successor, the E46 M3. With the M3 name now defunct on two-door variants of this fast 3 series, cars like the one we see here will only be more collectible as time marches on.
