2003 Audi S6 Avant

What is pedigree worth in this market?  When it comes to an enthusiasts’ car like this beautiful Audi S6 for sale in Midland, Texas, pedigree is everything. As someone that prefers driving older cars to new ones, I can appreciate all of the subtle things that come with a well acred for car. The condition of the leather, the functionality of the switches and buttons, the condition of the wheels, the cleanliness of the engine bay; all of these points factor in to my decision making process, as these things give great insight in to the type of person that owend the car before you.

Sure, a good detail will hide many underlying issues, but a car that is cared for will shine beyond that, because all of the little details elevate the car above an beyond the rest of the market. This stunning 2003 Audi S6 is one of those cars that rises above the rest.

As an Audi collector & ACNA member, this is the best example of a C5 S6 of which I am aware anywhere in the US. I am the 2nd owner, where as I bought it from the first through Beverly Hills Porsche. Officially, only 211 were shipped to the US in 2003, more rare than the RS6 and shares the same easily maintained powertrain & stable Alum subframe for reliable everyday enjoyment. Maintained by Mike Staley @ BAR Tuning (Houston) and Stephen Vincent @ The Shop (Midland). Should need nothing for a long time. All records available. Mechanics superb. Electronics as new (no missing pixels). Minor creases in the leather (typical places)- nothing even close to a crack. New Conti Extreme Contact DW’s @ 55K. Extra set (4) of S6 wheels w/ Blizzaks. New OEM (Brembo) Brakes @ 60K. New NGK’s and tune @ 63K. New Bilstein Sports & links @ 64K. K&N Air Filter, Goodrich stainless brake lines. Clear Title. This is an enthusiast’s daily driver. Serious inquiries only please. Thank You for your interest.

With an asking price of $19,000, the seller is certainly on the strong side by a few thousand dollars for your average buyer. With that said, clean examples like this one are few and far between (if they’re even out there at all). A car like this will likely go to an enthusiast that knows exactly what it is and is willing to pay the premium for a well loved and maintained S6. As is the case with these cars the achilles heel is the slushbox of an automatic transmission. Aside from that these are generally reliable cars when cared for. Judging by the meticulous care given to this car, any and all issues have likely been addressed.
