2006 Porsche Cayenne S Titanium Edition

It is hard to believe that the Porsche Cayenne is celebrating 20 years of production. 20 years! Shortly after its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show in September 2002, the Cayenne took off and never looked backed. In the eight model years of the first generation, just under 35,000 vehicles per year were sold. The millionth Cayenne rolled off the production line in the summer of 2020, and last year well over 80,000 examples were sold. People love Cayennes.

Porsche started to realize that people love Cayennes, so naturally the next step was special editions. Way back in 2006, the Titanium Edition was rolled out exclusive to the United State and Canada. What was it? Just some colored accents and a two-tone interior. That’s it. No real changes otherwise, so they can be had for not too much money:

Choice Auto Brokers of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is proud to present this 2006 Porsche Cayenne S Titanium Edition.

This high-performance luxury All Wheel Drive SUV is in fantastic condition, it runs and drives great, and its LOADED with options. This is a lifetime Florida vehicle that has had just one previous owner.

This Cayenne has recently had $13,000 in service performed at Champion Porsche in South Florida. It is in excellent condition, and ready to roll.

The Cayenne S Titanium includes upgrades like the 4.5-liter V8, power moonroof, dual zone climate control, navigation, and more. This one adds driver’s memory, SXM radio, the Light Comfort package, and other options. Highlights include:Power Glass MoonroofPower Windows, Locks and MirrorsRemote EntryPower Front Seats with Driver’s MemoryLeather Seats in Black and Sand BeigeMultifunction Steering WheelBOSE Audio System with CD and SXM radioGPS NavigationDual-zone Climate Control with Rear VentsServotronic Speed-sensitive Power SteeringWood and Leather Steering WheelRear Side SunscreensRear Cargo Net and Tonneau Cover19 Alloy Wheels…and much more, including all the usual luxury features you would expect in a high-line luxury vehicle – and then some.

Powered by a 340 hp 4.5 liter V8 mated to a 6 speed Tiptronic transmission, it is quick, responsive and it handles more like a sport sedan than an SUV – very impressive.

This is a nice one – don’t let it pass you by…

Marine Blue Metallic was one of four colors offered by Porsche on the Titanium Edition, and this one has the black and Sand Beige two-tone leather that was also just for the Titanium. Now over 15 years later, are these worth anything? Not really. This one has a pile of miles at nearly 136,000, so it is very much in that “just a used SUV” category.

This one is offered at $14,000, which is pretty much on par right now for the used car market. These things are still pretty maintenance heavy and have a few giant flaws that can be a pain to deal with, so I don’t know if the juice is worth the squeeze on these early Cayennes. It’s GTS or bust for me.

A 16 year old Porsche V8 SUV with 135k miles? What could go wrong?

$13k in service at the Porsche dealer and now for sale, is that a red flag or a green light?🤔

Yeah, my feeling is if I’m buying one with no air suspension just get the 6 cyl. and go for the face lift 2008+. If V8, I want the air suspension.
