2007 Mercedes-Benz SL550

I don’t believe a lot of people necessarily think about the R230 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class generation. Outside of the SL55 AND SL65 AMG cars, they cars are rather forgettable in the world of modern convertibles. Don’t get me wrong, there isn’t anything particularly bad about them, but they were rather soft. The design was conservative with subdued lines and long curves, and the inside was much of the same. Mercedes isn’t dumb here, this is what their SL buyers want. Because of the long production run and a bunch of variants, there isn’t a giant demand for them over 10 years later. Whats that mean? Cheap cheap cheap.

Seller’s Notes
great overall condition

I’m still looking for the catch here. The 2007 SL550 seems like its a decent car. It doesn’t look beat up, and the seller says everything works. Yes, it’s got 150,000 miles, and maybe that is why it is so cheap. How cheap? $10,500. That is  deal if I’ve ever seen. Keep in mind this is the 550 so you have the more complicated M273 V8 and 7-speed 722.9 transmission, but there is no real fatal flaws with them. If you want a cheap weekend cruiser or even a nice weather daily driver, this one doesn’t seem like a bad way to go.

But nowhere near cheap enough (at the ask) for 150k miles and no Sport package…

I’m a huge fan of older luxury convertibles selling for less than the additional options on their initial MSRP. If I had the garage space (wouldn’t have the heart to not garage it) it would be on my weekend cruiser list.
