2015 Porsche Cayman GTS

Last week’s 718 Cayman T was a good option at what I think is a great price, but maybe the turbocharged flat-four wasn’t enough grunt for the people who want to hear their Porsches when they drive them. The answer to that without selling out the $85,000 for the used 918 GT4? The GTS, of course. The GTS still packs a 3.4-liter flat-six with 340 horsepower and looks the part with a lowered suspension, the Sport Chrono package, sport exhaust, and some interior dressings. A run to 60 is in the low four second range and even less with the PDK gearbox, like this 2015 is equipped with. Worth the dough, or still going for 911 at this price range?

This particular GTS example was very well-configured by its original owner and includes nearly $20, 000 in factory options on an already well-loaded GTS model.

Features & Options:

7-Speed PDK transmission
Sport exhaust system
Adaptive Sport Seats (18-way) w/ Memory

Infotainment Package with Bose Surround Sound System
Premium Package
Carbon Fiber Interior Package
20” Carrera S wheels
Wheels painted in satin Platinum
Wheel center caps with coloured Porsche crest

And more.

The Cayman GTS is powered by a wonderful 3.4L 6-cylinder engine producing 340 hp and equipped with an incredible 7-speed PDK transmission. Performance is everything you expect from a Porsche with a GTS badge offering power throughout the rev band and an incredible exhaust note.

In our eyes, the Cayman GTS is one of the most well-rounded and best handling sports cars available today without breaking the bank. This particular build takes a great car even further with an excellent list of options.

Clean CarFax report and comes with all owner’s manuals and 2 master keys.

For $68,000, this is still well over $15,000 cheaper than any 981 Cayman GT4. Like mentioned, you can get the GTS in a six-speed manual, so if you want to row the gears, you are in luck as well. This example had about $20,000 of options in top of the standard GTS fare, which is a favorable thing for the next owner. Personally, I think this is great option if the mid-60s is the very top of the budget, but maybe not enough if you can swing the extra $15,000 GT4. I think I’m in the second group.

Definitely would take this over a 991. Those are too big and have zero feel–they’ve engineered the feedback out of the car (for whatever asinine reason). This is a great car and $68k isn’t all that much in the grand scheme.

I agree re a 991..,but at this price, you close to a 997.2 GTS, which would be my choice. That being said a very nice car and a little less hardcore than a GT4.

Agreed on the 997 GTS. I saw one of BAT recently and was thinking what a great car they are for the money.
