Sometimes I feel for my fellow enthusiasts who live in the UK as just by the realities of the population, they have fewer choices in terms of cars. There are roughly 33 million cars in the UK, and while that sounds like a ton, it isn’t when compared to the US which boasts roughly 289 million. I know you are saying that of course, that makes sense, but my point here is that there aren’t as many options to choose from especially if you want a 23-year-old Porsche. However, if you wanted a 2000 Porsche 911 Turbo with a Nephtrite Green leather interior, you are in luck.

Sometimes green works, while other times it was a bad idea. Today’s car, a 2022 Porsche 911 Carrera finished in Python Green, might just miss the mark. It isn’t the color that is the problem, but rather everything else that was optioned, or rather wasn’t, that maybe causes this one to look a bit odd. We’ve seen green 992s previously and it very clearly can work, but whoever spec’d this one needed some design help. Let me explain.

5 CommentsLast month when the International Auto Show rolled into town I had a few minutes to sit in and play with the new W206 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. I’ve very pro-sedan in a world where they are all going away, so this was somewhat exciting to me. What I climbed into was a car that had an outstanding steering wheel and two screens, and the rest was a letdown. I was ready for this as a C-Class is not an S-Class, but the cheap vinyl, plastic, and generally “lightness” of everything was a real down. I really hate to be the “They don’t make them like they used to.” guy, but you are buying a price point with these cars now. I did really love that steering wheel though.
