Silver with tricolor pin stripes 1988 BMW M3

It can be a good thing to buy a car from someone who has owned several other cars of the same type. At the very least they have more than one reference point to judge things like performance, handling, or even more mundane things like noises, squeaks, and vibrations. This M3 comes from an owner who says he has owned several others.

I like my German cars in silver and this one fits the bill. The seller has added a lot of parts to this car in an attempt to turn it into an evolution clone. The extensive parts list includes:

Exterior

Lachsilber

Apex Anthracite wheels, vortstiener wheel studs and nuts and Conti Tires (Less then 100 miles on wheels + tires) paid over 1800.00

EVO III bumpers (No side marker lights) A rare and really nice feature.

EVO III Front spoiler W/ all under tray parts

EVO III Brake Ducts W/ correct inner fender liners.

EVO III Adjustabel Rear Wing / Wing flap is gloss black which looks really nice

EVO III Hood gaskets
EVO III Bumber gaskets

Black bumper tape + Red bumper tape included

Headlights look brand new (Yellow City Lights) Smiley type headlights

Bumpers front and rear and wing all have fresh paint so no chips, fading etc.

Interior

EVO III Steering wheel (suede is flat)

EVO III lighted shift knob
M Color stiched E brake boot and shift boot

OMP pedal set
OMP Dead pedal

Black leather

Grey carpet

EVO II Door sills

VDO gauges at radio location + JVC (top end) Red Illumination CD deck included.

Recaro SR’s in leather with M stripes. Same as found in the EVO III model.

Engine/Misc

EVO II Cam gear

Turner Chip (JIM C.)

EVO III Plug wires

Lightened Flywheel

All new plastic and hoses.

Recent Tune

Fan delete with Spal Fan adapted onto stock fan shroud.

Runs perfect and REDLINE oil always used.

Supersprint Exhaust (DTM Tips) Euro center section.

H&R springs

Bilstein shocks

EVO III Front brake rotors

Hawk Pads

OMP Stainless brake lines

OMP Upper stress bar

The car has 154,600 miles, but the paint scheme and the modifications should keep bidders interested that might otherwise shy away from higher mileage cars. Besides low mile E30 M3s are really getting pricey. The seller describes the car as a driver and with the slight imperfections and no longer stock appearance that is an honest assessment. The engine bay looks really clean for a car of this mileage. The car appears to come with lots of stickers.

Bidding is up over $10,000 with the reserve not met. It will take nearly double that to own this I suspect.
