1993 Porsche 911 RS America

Over the past few weeks I have featured an abundance of ultra-low-mileage collectible 911s and I know the common refrain has been that these are, to a degree, a waste. As beautiful and interesting as these wonderful low-mileage examples are, they are not being used as intended. I feel everyone’s pain on this. Here we have another collectible 911, but this one is far from a pampered garage queen. Rather, this Grand Prix White 1993 Porsche 911 RS America has covered nearly 215,000 miles over the course of its 22 years on the road. The RS America in general has shown really nice increases in value over the past year, but it’s rare to come across one with more than 100K miles let alone twice that. That makes the valuation of this car difficult, but in many cases well-maintained high-mileage 911s still seem to fetch pretty good numbers. In addition, this one is a low-option car, only having 1 of the 4 available options selected upon delivery. That 1 option was A/C.

1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 Coupe

We have talked a bit in these pages about the relative value of the mid-year 911. Even while values have increased over the past year that value judgement still remains. These are still much cheaper than the long-hood 911 and in some cases can even be had for less than the model that followed, the 911SC. The model we see here, however, is somewhat of an exception to the rule, though it still comes in below the long-hood models that were its predecessor. Here we have a Grand Prix White 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 Coupe, located in California. While these resemble the highly sought after European Carrera 2.7 MFI Coupe they are not the same mechanically, with the MFI boasting more power and lighter weight. But those come at three times the price.

1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S – REVISIT

The Aventurine Green Metallic 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S we featured in early January is still looking for a new owner and is back up for auction. Pricing remains more or less the same, though the seller has now provided some leeway by making it a No Reserve Auction with a starting bid of $72,500, while keeping the Buy It Now price at $75,000. I can’t help but think that the lack of quality pictures is holding this car back a bit, but at the moment the ad remains unchanged.

1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe

The car we see here, a Wimbledon Green 1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe, comes with a high degree of excitement along with some annoyance. The excitement comes from the color. These are the sorts of cars we are always thankful Porsche produced. Unfortunately, this seller has chosen to provide only 2 pictures of the car’s exterior. Yeah. So we’ll have to go by the possibilities. This 964 should be about as pristine as a second-hand 911 can get given that it has not even traveled 9K miles, and the few pictures we do see show a car in excellent shape. Wimbledon Green (along with some other lighter greens) is one of the few colors where I strongly prefer a black interior. I really like the contrasting darkness the black provides and on the car here the interior looks in particularly good condition and is very capable of providing that contrast. We have been coming across quite a few extremely low mileage 911s lately perhaps owing to the market increases we’ve seen and owners hoping to see just how much value they can get for their collectibles.

The really nice Yellow over Black mid-year 911 Carrera Coupe we featured back in September is up for sale once again this time with a price reduction bringing it down from its very high $129,900 asking price to a still high, though somewhat more reasonable, $109,990. Can it sell this time?
