1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

There is certainly something about a G-Body Porsche 911 in a shade of green. The G-Body is arguably the most iconic shape of the 911 and certainly one of the most recognizable, so when you pair it with today’s color, Moss Green Metallic, it is a home run for me. Normally green makes up just 1% to 3% of total car production, and that is for both the car industry as a whole and for Porsche specifically. So if you feel like you don’t see a lot of green cars out there, you aren’t wrong. This 1986 up for sale in Italy is well into the “driver” category with over 100,000 miles, but that doesn’t mean it is going to come cheap. Nope, not at all.

2014 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

I know there is a massive yearning for the lightweight aircooled Porsche 911s, but given how Porsche had to deal with, the 991 generation turned out pretty good. It surely isn’t ugly or offensive in terms of styling, and the performance is always at the world standard in terms of how they manage so much performance out of a flat-six engine that fits behind a set of the rear seats. I don’t think there is single variant of the 991 that you couldn’t drive everyday if you were brave enough, granted there was no snow on the roads, and still be extremely comfortable doing it. Even the base model C2 examples, like the one we are looking at today, still brings strong performance terms of power and numbers. The thing I have to wonder is, how far will they fall in terms of price?

2002 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

As the 996 Porsche 911 glow-up continues to gain steam, more and more of them are coming out of the woodwork at eyebrow raising prices. I still think the black sheep of the 911 family is going to stay that, but they just won’t be as cheap as they once were. Worth it? That is up to you of course, but I think a lot of these prices are reflective of people getting priced out of other 911s, simply grabbing what they can afford, and making the best of it.

Today, we have a 2002 Carrera 2 up for sale in New York with just 18,000 miles. Despite being just the base model, it was a not cheap at all. This one rang in at an impressive $96,810 when new, which was crazy to justify given the Turbo started at $110,000. Still, it is just the base 996 at the end of the day. How pricey could it be? Buckle up!

2008 Porsche 911 Carrera

As much as I am a sucker for paint-to-sample Porsches, I’m also just as big a sucker for good deals. Combine the two, and well, I’m very close to clicking the always tempting “Buy it Now” button. Today’s car almost has me there.

This is a 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera in paint-to-sample Zanzibar Red with black sport seats and my favorite “lobster fork” wheels. It also brings bi-xenon headlights, a sunroof, and climate control buttons that aren’t worn down to the bare plastic. I need more space.

2013 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet

I think what I’ve learned over the years is that if a color exists, Porsche isn’t afraid of it. They’ll basically paint your car almost any color for a (large) price, and then even themselves get a little cheeky when it comes to certain shades that you’d never expect. Today’s color, Cognac Metallic, can certainly be called that. The short of it is that it is very brown and not afraid to show it. Of course, it is on a cabriolet body with a dark brown soft top and an Espresso Natural leather interior as well. Who would sign up for this?
