I’m always one intrigued by the road less traveled when it comes to cars. Maybe that’s what prompted me to post that BMW Z3 3.0i Coupe with the automatic transmission earlier in the week. Likewise, this SL320 was a more obscure choice for the SL buyer in the US market in 1995, tallying about half the sales of its V8 sibling, the SL500. The SL320 isn’t a particularly fast machine, but if you are looking for a luxurious cruiser with all of the looks, a car like this 1995 SL320 for sale in Texas would fit the bill.

1989 BMW M3 Convertible Replica

If you look hard enough, it’s amazing sometime what you can find. Take, for example, today’s E30 convertible that’s been modified with both the body pieces from an E30 M3 and the engine from an E36 M3. In the “best of both worlds” scenario, this isn’t a bad option – but to find it, you had to have a little faith. Personally, I was interested in both the widebody AMG SEC and the modified E24 6 that were in the ad’s cover photo, so I sought more information. What was inside is what seems to be a well built and very presentable box-flared E30 convertible with some serious motivation:

1992 Porsche 968 Cabriolet

The Cayenne and Panamera are great performance cars in their own right, but for the Porsche purist, it is little more than a vehicle by which they can keep their favorite sports car manufacturer in the business of just that: manufacturing sports cars. It seems the diversity in the lineup, the earlier water-cooled, front engined Porsches are now getting the respect they deserve. This 968 Cabriolet for sale in Florida is equipped with the 6-speed manual gearbox and is closing in on the 100,000 mile mark. Still a lot of life left for someone who wants to live out their P car dream on a budget.

1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 Cabriolet

Following on to the E320 Cabriolet we featured last week, here is another clean, low mileage 1995 example for sale in Maryland. This particular car has had both its head gasket and wiring harness replaced, two important maintenance issues with this model. For those in the colder climates, summer is just around the corner. What better way to enjoy it than with a cruise in this stately cabriolet?
