1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo

Though I’ve always maintained a healthy respect for Porsches, it wasn’t until recently that I began to feel the nagging lust clearly espoused by a significant portion of German car fans. Perhaps it’s the 993 Turbo that shares my garage – its coolness has oozed into my life even through its ever-present cover. While the 993 is obviously the zenith of air-cooled Porscheness, I find myself more drawn the 930 and 964. And thus, I think I have found the Porsche for me in this 1986 911 Turbo, featuring the intercooled 3.3 liter boxer. Having covered less than 100k miles with a recent overhaul/reseal, this widebodied 911 bridges the gap between classic and more modern 911 looks with Turbo Twists and unique blacked-out lower valences. With so many variations available through generations of similar 911s, it’s hard to determine which is “the one.” For me, I think this is the one.

1986 Porsche 911 Turbo (930) Guards red exterior with black leather interior. This Porsche is in excellent condition and has been very meticulously maintained.
