You know what, maybe the weather in England isn’t so bad after all. Of course I am saying that solely because of today’s car, a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300SL up for sale in Southern England. It is finished in the rare Willow Green with a brown soft top over tan MB-Tex. What I would give if this one was left-hand drive.

This is what the R107 is meant to be and not the bloated version we were stuck with in North America with terrible bumpers and ugly headlights. Even better on this one with some rear jump seats that can be used in a real pinch.
The asking price translates to around $35,000, which in my eyes is more than fair considering what some lesser R107s sell for here. If the the steering wheel was on the proper side it would be a hard look for me. My guess is someone will be enjoying this one very soon. I wish it was me.

I would have no problem with a RHD car here…I think that is something you could quickly get used to.
