It’s a cycle with me. Every couple of weeks, I can’t get 911s off the brain. Perhaps it was early experiences I had with these sports cars or they have just come to symbolize everything I hold sacred about the brand in these days of SUVs and odd looking executive saloons with the Porsche crest on them. Whatever the case may be, the 911 will always have a place in my fantasy garage.
If I had to choose right now, I’d probably seek out a nice 3.2 Carrera. I wouldn’t want a garage queen, but I’d like something that has been well broken in without being clapped out. This 3.2 Carrera for sale in Texas grabbed my attention with its Venetian Blue paintwork, giving it a classy touch.

1987 Porsche 911 Carrera on eBay
1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe finished in Venetian Blue with Grey/Green Interior. This is a very rare color combination. New clutch and Top Engine Rebuilt at 110k Miles, with extensive service history dating back to 1992. There are no leaks or issues with the engine or tranny and service records do accompany this car. All gauges, lights and A/C function properly. Clean Autocheck Report!
Options Include: 3.2L 6-Cylinder, 5-Speed Manual G50 Transmission, Sport Seats, Alpine Stereo, Strut Brace. BFGoodrich G-Force Tires: front (205/50ZR16) and rear (225/50/R16) have 90% Tread.
Over 100,000 miles might seem excessive for a high performance car, but the 911 3.2 Carrera and earlier SC models are known to be fairly robust, well engineered vehicles that last if properly looked after. With a top end rebuild and a decent amount of service records, I wouldn’t hesitate to consider this car, seeing as how the exterior cosmetics and interior give off the appearance of a well cared for 911. The asking price is about in line with what higher mileage 3.2 Carreras are bringing these days, albeit at the higher end. Somewhere around $18,000 to $20,000 range would be closer to the sweet spot for this car.

yes please
Still haven’t lived my 911 dream either. My wife’s BMW 330ci was totaled two weeks ago. Was hoping she would get a 911 used but it’s not that practical for her. She ended up in an A4. Someday, I’d love to own a 911 and the 3.2 is a strong candidate for me. As pretty as the pictures are, it would be important to go see the car in person.
I like Venetian Blue. I’m one of the few people on the planet who seem to like the Gray/Green interior. I’m just not sure how I feel about the two paired together on the same car.
The car seems to have been ordered with a more sporting orientation (see below) and shows some aftermarket performance pieces as well. This can be a good thing or it can indicate a car that has been driven hard. As with all used 911s, a thorough PPI by a Porsche specialist is mandatory before serious consideration.
I think the price is a bit high, considering I have seen similar cars (mileage, equipment and condition) sell for around $18K recently.
