1988 Porsche 928 S4

As the weather turns colder and as I think about my holiday travel plans, my mind inevitably begins to wander and I begin to think about the prospects of a GT car. I don’t have a commute where such a car would make sense but for those that do (or those who simply want a better way to travel) a GT makes such a compelling case as a consideration for space in any enthusiast’s garage. The Porsche 928 remains a favorite of ours here at GCFSB. With styling that barely appears to have aged, especially considering that the style of the model itself changed little from its 1977 debut, the 928 is a car that remains fresh even now and since the market has been slow to embrace these cars, a good example can still be had at a fairly reasonable cost. Here we have an excellent looking 1988 Porsche 928 S4 located in Missouri. With more than 300 hp coming from the 5.0 liter V8 these cars offered nice performance in an attractive package. As an added plus, this particular 928 S4 comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.

With any 928, a potential buyer must make sure the engine and transmission are in good shape so as to avoid buying into a money pit. With that in mind, we have a really beautiful car here that presents well both inside and out. The mileage isn’t too high for being 25 years old and frankly the offering price seems quite reasonable at $14,900. We’ve certainly seen examples offered at higher prices and with a manual transmission this should find the interest of quite a few buyers.
