1989 Porsche 930 Slantnose Cabriolet

509

Another week, another Porsche 930 Slantnose for sale. Seems like they are everywhere, doesn’t it? As soon as the last Slantnose Cabriolet we featured went live, it sold within one day. If red was a bit too outlandish on that particular car, perhaps this 1989 930 Slantnose Cabriolet for sale from our reader Frank may be more to your liking. Painted in a more reserved Black over Linen combination, this car represents the final year for the 930 Turbo, the sole year to feature a 5-speed manual gearbox with the 3.3 liter turbocharged flat-6.

The debate is strong amongst readers on whether they like the Slantnose option or not. I never used to be a big fan myself, but the more I pour over these eighties icons, the more they grow on me. If I could only have one 911, it would probably be one with the classic profile, but if I had the money and space, one of these rare beauties would certainly find a place in my garage. They epitomize everything great about the decade in which I grew up and it was only fitting that we said goodbye to this model right before the dawn of the 1990s.

I think they are some of best looking of all the Porsche model’s.

There are certain cars I picture a Sith Lord driving. A Buick Grand National is one. This Porsche is another.
