“German car enthusiasts, please stay behind the barriers until the horn has been sounded…

Yes, we realize that clean, moderately-miled E30s are few and far between these days, and yes, we realize that they were plentiful when you started searching and now all of sudden fanboys and LeMons racers have taken them all.

Ok, ok, ok… you may enter the BiddingDome. The reserve is on, but we are confident you will clear that first hurdle with aplomb. Soak in the low miles, and imagine yourself bathing in almost 25 years of records. Imagine the clean, leathery smell of the reupholstered seats, and feeling the balance of inline-6, manual transmission, and rear-wheel drive sedan under your butt.

Sure, the last one you saw this clean went for $8k, and it has a cracked dash, so maybe you can just be patient. But at that rate, it’ll appreciate, so you might as well just pull the trigger now. Not buying this car is losing you money…”

(just at 10% the rate it’s costing you money)

Hop on the E30 bidding train, folks. It’s an express route.

Classic and Rare 1990 E30 325is 124,000 miles

For sale here is an unspoiled, all original classic BMW. Only thing that’s been updated is a new Scorpion exhaust system.

Story: I bought this car last summer from a guy in Northern California. He was only the second owner. I flew out the San Jose and drove the car problem-free back to Denver. I drove through 100+ degree heat with the A/C on with no issues at all. The car was parked in the garage the entire winter and was never exposed to snow or any harsh weather. I’ve put about 2,500 miles on the car.

Work I’ve had done:
– Replaced the rear seal
– New clutch
– Replaced exhaust manifold gaskets and heat shields.
– Removed the Clifford alarm system as it was occasionally interrupting the ignition. Since then, no problems at all.
– Removed the pin-striping (I just didn’t like the way it looked).
– Changed the oil and filter.

I’ve got a giant stack of records for this vehicle going back to 1990. It’s never been in an accident and runs perfectly. Note on the tag near the engine that the timing belt will need to be replaced at 180,000 miles. So lots of time left on this typical E30 repair.

Cosmetically the car looks great, I get compliments on it all the time. There are a few blemished on the paint however, and the dash does have a few minor cracks.

List of original equipment, all in perfect working condition:
– 5 speed manual transmission
– Power assist steering
– Independent MacPherson strut front suspension
– Limited slip differential
– Trip computer, with temperature and digital clock
– A/C
– Cruise Control
– Four wheel disc brakes
– Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
– Sport seats
– Dual electronically controlled side mirrors
– Electric sunroof
– Electric windows
– Leather
– Metallic paint
– Original BMW sound system with cassette deck. I’ll toss in a big box of cassettes that sound awesome.
– Retractable antenna

Happy bidding. Please contact me with any questions.

(No, the Porsche shown in the last picture is not for sale. Just showing the E30 with his cousin)

Happy bidding indeed, and may the bids be ever in your favor. Love the car, love the look, I just hope someone gets to enjoy it for the affordable sports sedan it was born to be, not the commodity it has become.
