1992 Mercedes-Benz 300CE with 25k miles

$_57

One of my favorite Mercedes-Benzes of all time is an obscure one. The W124 Coupe. These cars were the automotive equivalent of a three piece suit garnished with an avant garde tie or fancy watch. Just a little bit of zip to liven it up. Four place seating and a pillarless profile were this car’s hallmarks, with a 3.0 liter inline-6 under the hood for US bound models that would be usurped in the final two years of the production run for a 3.2 mill. This 300CE for sale in New Jersey is another one of those time warp vehicles, having covered just over 25,000 miles in 24 years.

1992 Mercedes Benz 300CE Coupe

25,161 Miles

Exceptionally clean, dealer serviced 1991 300CE in Smoke Silver/Creme Beige

All original collector quality car that was garage kept and covered at all time when not in use. Smoke Silver finish has a showroom quality shine and is well complimented with gorgeous chrome trim. OEM wheels are exceptionally clean and the vehicle wears matching Continental tires all around. Interior is immaculately clean and creme beige leather shows like new. The vehicles wood trim is like a mirror with no cracks, and dash is perfect. Carpeting is exceptionally clean as well as the original floor mats, and the needles on the instrument clusters are bright orange. All of the vehicles jambs are spotless, and the engine bay looks like its ready for show.

The vehicles bulletproof 3.0 I6 motor runs beautifully, and the car drives tight like a 25k mile Mercedes Benz should. All of the vehicles power options function 100% and the AC blows strong and ice cold. Original Becker Stereo sounds great and power antenna works perfectly. This is one of the finest examples of a W124 Coupe and its pillar less design is very appealing to the eye, and even more fun to drive.

Vehicle come with all books, keys, service records, first aid kit and the spare tire was never down and the OEM tools still in the plastic bag. Truly a rare find!!!

The one thing that was curious about the W124 coupe is they never offered a 500E/E500 version. While AMG versions were produced, perhaps they didn’t want to cut into S class coupe sales, even though it could have been marketed as a vastly different option? Whatever the case may be, the mind wanders at the thought of what might have been. Prices for the 300CE and E320 Coupe tend to bring a little bit more than their sedan counterparts on average but much less than the cabriolet version. You don’t see ultra low mileage examples of these cars up for sale often, so placing a value can be a bit difficult, but somewhere in the $10,000 to $13,000 territory seems reasonable for a car with increasing classic status.
