Back in February, I took a look at the E32 range-topping 750iL:
Shortly after that model year, though, BMW introduced two new models with V8s under the hood. Following mostly traditional naming conventions, the M60 3.0 and 4.0 V8s slotted in to the new 730i and 740i models. Their all-aluminum construction mean that they were not any heavier than the outgoing venerable six, while being shorter and more compact. Power on the M60B30 was respectable and in line with the M30B35 inline-six; 215 horsepower and 214 lb-ft of torque, while the bigger brother had 282 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. That was only a few horsepower short of the V12, and with its much cheaper price and better fuel economy it was no surprise that it was a hit. The formula would be carried on for the next few generations of 7s, but it’s become more rare to see the early cars still floating around. Let’s take a look at this ’93:

I am the second owner. Previous owner owned for 26yrs. Always BMW Dealer maintained. Clean CarFax clean title.
The good: Needs nothing mechanically. Would drive cross country tomorrow. European spec chrome exhaust tips, euro spec headlights. Elsewise completely stock and unmolested
The bad: Paint is O.K. A professional detail would be a worthy investment. Roof is faded. Radio needs repair. Overall still very presentable, and does not bother me, but would need to be addressed to be perfect.I have had this car for a year; it has been my daily driver and I love it. Another project has fallen into my lap that is going to take my time and energy, elsewise I would not sell this car.
Truly looking for a good home, as this car deserves it. If you abuse your cars, this isn’t the one for you. I sold my last e32 and had that issue with the next owner wrecking the car. Mature ownership preferred.

The color is Island Green Metallic, and while it looks slightly tired this is still a handsome car. There were minor exterior revisions to the V8 models; new Style 7 wheels there were also shared with the E34 5-Series and wider kidney grilles are what are the easy tells for the later models. Inside and out, though, this was a subtle sedan. Like the V8 quattro, it was modern, simple, and clean in design – and today it still looks pretty good, despite the dashboard being nearly 30. The leather shows wear and I bet there are other issues as well; the climate control on these cars, for example, is known to fail. The M60 also had teething issues, most notoriously with the Nickasil cylinder linings, but popular opinion seems to be that if it’s still running decently now it’s not worth addressing. $7,500 is probably on the strong side for this example, because that also gets you into the much more popular E38. But if you like the more classic look of the E32, this one looks like a pretty decent example that could be shined up.

Classy looking sedans. Wish we had had optional manual trans in these later year models.
Handsome car in a nice color combo. This body 7 series has been growing on me lately. I wish the V12 750’s made more HP.
@Ricky. You would have to $tep up to the Alpina version to help solve that issue. Those are the most beautiful versions in my eyes.
These were such great cars. I had a 740i as a loaner once back in the 90s and could not believe how fast, smooth, comfortable it was. Unfortunately there are very few still around. Finding a nice e32 is not easy. I remember when they came out most reviews said the v12 750iL was unnecessary due to the V8’s power.
